Ferrets are very playful, inquisitive animals and enjoy company. Almost anything can become a ferret toy, polythene bags, ping pong balls and so on. Foam rubber must be avoided and take care that the toy does not break ­up easily, pieces of the toy might cause a blockage if swallowed with  possible fatal results.
 Ferrets like to play fight and sometimes can get carried away, not realising the pain they sometimes inflict. Pictured is a young Skippy playing with a ball.
